New Years and Continued Challenges

It's the new year. I can't believe I'm saying this, but my shins still aren't fully healed. They're mostly better, but when I play hop around with Peanut, it's not uncommon for them to hurt. Plus I had gotten down to 168.8 lbs (a loss of almost 15 lbs since I started) but over the holidays I got into a funk and I'm back up to 171. I know, not a huge huge deal, but it's still sigh-worthy. It's not water weight at this point, I let it happen.

But it's the new year. I let the first slide, as I knew/planned for it not to be a great day for a reboot, but yesterday I worked out (a bit) and didn't eat horrible. I don't want to eat any red meat or wheat this month, that's my challenge. I'd also like to cut back on the soda, that's a huge area I let myself slide on these last couple weeks. Since Boi is seemingly rather permanently working mornings instead of evenings, I've decided to just kick them downstairs in the evening so I can do 30 day shred. This is my second or third time trying to restart it. The other few times though I was nervous to do too much with my shins. But last night didn't seem bad. Crossing my fingers they just get stronger and I don't hurt them. But it's been like, 2 months now. Geeeeeeeeeeeeeeeaze! And if I don't do the DVD for whatever reason, I need to do at least some yoga/calisthenics.

I go back to the doctor next week, we'll see what she says about my shins then. I'm suddenly reminded that I didn't take my iron, and the Peanut wants attention. Ciao!

The holidays

Fell off the wagon, shin splints two weeks ago now that still bug me, and I loathe journaling. Since I still can't run I wanted to start up 30 day shred - however during his nap today my shins were hurting. So hopefully tomorrow.

Even with thanksgiving my weight is holding, hopefully it'll drop now!

Miserable outside, no jog today. I've been lazy about stretching, however I remembered my vitamins and I have yoga tonight.

B: egg, pumpkin shake
Lunch: avocado and egg salad
Dinner: soup
Snack: roasted grapes, cereal, raisins

Day 5

Feeling better today, getting stuff done.


B: quinoa cakes and cereal
L: Red Lentil Soup, roasted carrots and roasted grapes
D: curry, chickpeas and rice
S: a few bites of banana, juice and sparkling water, handful of seeds, pumpkin pie shake, a little bit of smoothie

Did my DVD tonight, woot!

Day 3

Today will hopefully be better, Boi works super early and will be home at 4 (hopefully) and I have Mom coming to watch Peanut at 10.

Did my morning stretching and took all my vitamins

B: chicken, 1/2 empanada, sparkling water and juice
L: chicken and veg and rice
Early D: Mac and cheese
Late D: turkey soup
Snacks: handful of raisins, pumpkin seeds, half a Reese's, 3 cheese curds
